Follow the steps below to help ensure a smooth claims process. Please complete these steps and contact Guardian Group or your insurance broker before submitting a claim.

What to do first

  • Theft, loss, vandalism, or accidents involving others
  • Report the incident to the police as soon as possible. A police report will be prepared based on your statement.
  • If additional damage is discovered later, this can be reported in a follow-up police report and claimed afterward.
  • Serious damage, fire, or personal injury
  • If the situation is urgent, contact the relevant emergency services immediately.
  • Fire or water damage
  • If the damage is minor and it is safe to do so, take reasonable steps to prevent further damage.
  • Collect supporting documents
  • Gather any available evidence related to the damage, loss, or theft, such as receipts, invoices, or warranty certificates.
  • Document the situation
  • Take clear photos if possible to help explain what happened.
  • Report the claim promptly
