Guardian Group’s Shoebox Initiative was sparked from a desire to bring Christmas cheer to Children’s homes across the Caribbean region, for the past ten years (10). Each year, Guardian Group’s employees and advisors purchase gift items, place them in wrapped shoeboxes, and then distribute to various homes.Under this year’s theme “Connected By Love”, over four hundred (400) gifts were distributed to twenty-four (24) children’s homes and organisations commencing on Wednesday 14th December, 2022.The management team from the St. Mary’s Children’s Home shared, “We received the gifts for the children and we thank Guardian Group for its generosity and thoughtfulness. The kids will truly enjoy opening their Christmas presents.”According to Ayesha Boucaud-Claxton, Head - Group Branding and Communications for the Group, “The Shoebox project is a cherished tradition within Guardian Group. In the spirit of giving, we were happy to bring joy and make a difference by these gestures. Christmas is truly about spreading love and cheer to others and it is with this thrust that Guardian Group looks forward to continuing this passion in 2023.”
